The apartment interior project was carried out within a unit delivered with standard developer finishes. The main objective was to transform the space into a more cozy, cohesive, and visually refined home with a higher level of comfort and detailing
The first stage involved a comprehensive upgrade of the finishes: the flooring was replaced, walls were repainted, and electrical outlets and lighting fixtures were updated. These changes established a more contemporary and clean architectural language throughout the interior
Special attention was given to the bathrooms, where microcement was used as the main finishing material. This solution introduced a monolithic character, tactile depth, and visual continuity, aligning with the overall concept of the project
As part of the technical improvements, several upgrades were implemented across the apartment’s building systems: a larger-capacity water heater was installed, a water softening system was integrated, and Philips Hue smart lighting control was introduced via app, significantly enhancing everyday usability and comfort
Living comfort was further elevated through the installation of underfloor heating throughout the entire apartment, as well as the use of gypsum recessed lighting, which created soft, architectural illumination without visual clutter. This was complemented by painting ventilation grilles in the same color as the walls for a more seamless appearance
Given that a significant amount of time is expected to be spent on the terrace, it was designed to remain both functional and lightweight. A mobile dining table and chairs were placed outdoors, which can also be used inside the apartment when needed, providing spatial flexibility. In addition, coffee tables were selected for the sofa area, with one of them specifically considered suitable for working comfortably on a laptop
The project is also distinguished by its carefully structured logistics: materials and suppliers were sourced across Spain and other EU countries, resulting in a distinctive, non-local interior character while optimizing the budget. All communication with the client was conducted remotely, with regular progress reports, cost tracking, and visual presentations at every stage of the process
